What Happens When You Chant Mantras?

What Happens When You Chant Mantras? Understanding the Journey and the Experiences Along the Way

Mantra chanting is one of the oldest spiritual practices known to humanity. For thousands of years, sages, monks, yogis, and householders have used sacred sounds to quiet the mind, deepen awareness, and cultivate inner peace. Today, mantra chanting has gained popularity worldwide, not only among spiritual seekers but also among people looking for stress relief, better focus, and emotional well-being.

Yet one question continues to arise among beginners:

“What actually happens when you chant mantras regularly?”

The answer is both simple and profound.

Mantra chanting is not magic, nor is it merely repeating a few words. It is a disciplined practice that gradually transforms the mind, emotions, and sometimes even the way you perceive the world around you. While every individual’s journey is unique, there are many common experiences reported by practitioners across different traditions.

Let’s explore what happens during this fascinating journey.

What Is a Mantra?

The Sanskrit word Mantra is derived from two words:

  • Manas – Mind
  • Tra – Instrument or tool

A mantra is therefore considered a tool for the mind.

Unlike ordinary words, traditional mantras are believed to carry specific vibrational qualities. Whether one views them from a spiritual perspective or a psychological one, repeating the same sound rhythmically helps reduce mental distractions and brings attention into the present moment.

Some popular mantras include:

  • Om (AUM)
  • Gayatri Mantra
  • Mahamrityunjaya Mantra
  • Om Namah Shivaya
  • Hare Krishna Mahamantra
  • Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Each mantra has its own purpose and significance according to different spiritual traditions.

The First Few Days: Calming the Busy Mind

When you first begin chanting, your biggest challenge is usually your own mind.

You may notice that while chanting:

  • Random thoughts keep appearing.
  • You remember unfinished work.
  • Your shopping list suddenly becomes important.
  • You wonder whether you’re chanting correctly.
  • You become aware of every small sound around you.

This is completely normal.

Many beginners believe they are “doing meditation wrong.”

In reality, this is often the first time they become aware of just how active their mind really is.

With regular practice, however, these distractions begin to reduce naturally.

The First Changes You Notice

After a few days or weeks of consistent chanting, many practitioners notice subtle improvements.

Greater Mental Calm

Your thoughts don’t disappear.

Instead, they become less overwhelming.

Situations that previously caused anxiety may no longer affect you as deeply.

You become more capable of responding rather than reacting.

Well before we see this in detail one must know we do not sing mantras. We channt! One setting is 108 times chanting any mantra. Chanting helps invoke a particular energy associated with the mantra. Each mantra is associated with a certain form of energy. Or in a layman’s language each mantra is a pure sound. To utter that sound in one breath, one must practice how much to breathe in or how a particular sanskrit mantra needs to be pronounced. You will find lots of videos online where people are singing the mantras. If you are having an aim behind practicing any mantra. Please do find the correct way of chanting any mantra. For example Gayatri Mantra when chanted in different times of day it will give different effects. Morning (Dawn): The life force is visualized as Gayatri, a young girl dressed in a glowing red or pink attire, symbolizing the soft, creative light of the rising sun and the awakening of prana. Afternoon (Noon): The life force becomes Savitri, a radiant young woman shining in brilliant gold or white, representing the peak, intense solar energy that fuels actions and stamina. Evening (Dusk): The life force transitions into Sarasvati, a wise, mature woman adorned in deep blue or dark garments, reflecting the serene sky of twilight, internalization, and the merging of energy back into silence. So mantras chanted in different time of the day gives you different results. The tantra or method matter significantly at the same time where you sit and recite, which direction you face and sit and recite, the lunar cycle you are in will all matter to the purpose and result of your recitation. It has to be associated with the few of  7 chakras in your body. I will be posting some simple explanatory videos in this context. Improved Concentration

The mind becomes trained to return to one object—the mantra.

Over time, this ability carries into daily life.

You may notice:

  • Better focus while studying.
  • Increased productivity at work.
  • Improved memory.
  • Less mental fatigue.

Better Emotional Balance

Life’s problems do not disappear.

But your relationship with them changes.

Many practitioners report feeling:

  • Less irritated
  • More patient
  • Less anxious
  • More emotionally stable

The mantra becomes an anchor during difficult moments.

Physical Experiences During Chanting

Many people wonder whether physical sensations are normal.

They often are.

Some commonly reported experiences include:

Tingling Sensations

Some people feel tingling in:

  • Hands
  • Feet
  • Spine
  • Forehead

This may simply be related to relaxation, posture, breathing, or heightened body awareness.

Vibrations

Some practitioners describe feeling vibrations inside the body.

These may occur:

  • Around the chest
  • In the throat
  • At the forehead
  • Throughout the body

Different spiritual traditions interpret these sensations differently. From a physiological perspective, they may also arise from focused attention, breathing patterns, muscle relaxation, or vocal resonance.

Warmth or Coolness

Some people notice:

  • Warm palms
  • Warm chest
  • Cool forehead
  • Changes in body temperature

These experiences vary widely and are not universal.

Feeling Light or Heavy

Occasionally practitioners report:

  • Feeling extremely light
  • Feeling rooted to the ground
  • Feeling that the body has disappeared
  • Feeling unusually relaxed

These experiences often occur during deep states of concentration and relaxation.

Emotional Experiences

As the mind becomes quieter, emotions sometimes become stronger before they settle.

Many practitioners experience:

  • Unexpected tears
  • Joy without any reason
  • Gratitude
  • Compassion
  • Forgiveness
  • Emotional release

Old memories may arise.

Past hurts may surface.

This doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong.

Sometimes, becoming quieter allows us to notice emotions that were previously buried beneath constant mental activity.

Changes in Daily Life

The greatest benefits often happen outside your meditation session.

Many people notice they begin to:

  • Speak more gently.
  • Listen more carefully.
  • Judge others less.
  • Worry less about the future.
  • Feel more grateful.
  • Become less reactive.

Friends and family sometimes notice these changes before the practitioner does.

Deepening Awareness

After months or years of regular practice, some practitioners describe experiences that are difficult to explain with ordinary language. These experiences are not guaranteed, nor should they be expected.

Some include:

Silence Between Thoughts

Instead of constant thinking, brief moments of complete mental silence may arise.

These moments can feel deeply peaceful.

Expanded Awareness

Some people report feeling:

  • More connected with nature.
  • Deep appreciation for ordinary moments.
  • Greater awareness of their surroundings.
  • Increased mindfulness throughout the day.

Timelessness

During deep chanting, some practitioners lose track of time.

A session that feels like ten minutes may actually last an hour.

Continuous Mantra

Advanced practitioners sometimes report that the mantra continues mentally even after they stop chanting.

It seems to repeat effortlessly in the background of awareness.

Many traditions consider this a sign that the mind has become deeply familiar with the mantra.

Spiritual Experiences

Many spiritual traditions describe profound experiences that may occur through long-term mantra practice.

Some practitioners report:

  • Feeling surrounded by peace.
  • Experiencing overwhelming love.
  • Feeling connected to the Divine.
  • Deep devotion.
  • Inner bliss.
  • A sense of unity with all life.

Others describe vivid dreams, symbolic visions, or moments of intuitive clarity.

These experiences are deeply personal. Whether they are interpreted as spiritual, psychological, or symbolic depends on one’s beliefs and perspective.

Importantly, having—or not having—such experiences does not determine the value or success of one’s practice.

Scientific Perspective

Modern research has explored several potential benefits of repetitive chanting and meditation.

Studies suggest that mantra repetition may:

  • Reduce perceived stress.
  • Improve attention and concentration.
  • Support emotional regulation.
  • Encourage slower, more regular breathing.
  • Promote relaxation by engaging the parasympathetic nervous system.
  • Improve overall feelings of well-being.

Scientists generally explain these benefits through mechanisms such as focused attention, breathing patterns, repetition, and relaxation rather than attributing them to supernatural causes.

Research is ongoing, and while many findings are promising, experiences vary from person to person.

The Four Levels of Speech: A Journey Within

Ancient Indian philosophy describes four stages of speech, offering a symbolic framework for understanding how thoughts arise before they become words.

A museum exhibit presents the four traditional stages of speech through layered artistic scenes and Sanskrit symbolism.

Vaikhari

This is spoken speech—the words we express aloud. It is the outermost level.

Madhyama

Madhyama represents the internal dialogue before words are spoken. It is the conversation we constantly have with ourselves. This inner narration can shape our emotional state. A mind filled with self-criticism, fear, or resentment may experience life very differently from one cultivated with kindness and perspective.

Pashyanti

At this level, ideas are said to exist before they become fully formed words. Many artists, musicians, and scientists describe moments where solutions or inspirations seem to arrive as complete impressions rather than step-by-step thoughts.

Para

Para is described in many yogic traditions as the most subtle level—the silent source from which thought and speech ultimately emerge. Whether understood spiritually or symbolically, practices such as meditation and mantra chanting are intended to help quiet the mind and increase awareness of this inner stillness.

Common Misconceptions

“I don’t feel anything.”

This is perfectly normal.

Many people experience profound benefits without dramatic sensations.

Consistency matters far more than unusual experiences.

“I saw lights.”

Some practitioners report seeing flashes of light or colors while meditating. These can occur for various reasons, including changes in attention, visual processing, or spiritual interpretation depending on one’s tradition.

Rather than assigning immediate meaning to such experiences, simply observe them and continue your practice.

“My thoughts never stop.”

Even experienced meditators have thoughts.

The goal is not to eliminate thinking but to become less controlled by it.

“I became emotional.”

This is common.

Meditation often increases awareness of emotions that may have been ignored or suppressed.

Allow emotions to arise without judgment, and seek support if they become overwhelming.

What You Should Not Chase

One of the biggest mistakes beginners make is chasing extraordinary experiences.

They expect:

  • Visions
  • Mystical sounds
  • Miracles
  • Supernatural powers
  • Constant bliss

Ironically, this expectation creates restlessness—the opposite of what mantra practice is intended to cultivate.

Traditional teachers often advise practitioners to treat every experience—pleasant or unpleasant—as something to observe rather than cling to.

The real transformation happens gradually, through steady practice and the way it shapes everyday life.

How to Begin Your Practice

If you’re new to mantra chanting, keep it simple:

  • Firstly, practice with breathing exercises.
  • Mostly mantras are given to you by your Guru Teacher.
  • Or choose one mantra that resonates with you.
  • Preferably do not start with the expectations.
  • Please avoid starting to chant on following days or even chanting in those times Amavasya( blue moon day some mantras not all), a woman during menstruation and grahan(any eclipses), if there is any death in family, nothing between 13 to 45 days after the death.
  • Sit comfortably in a quiet place.
  • Chant slowly with attention.
  • Face to East, West, North or North East are ideal to face while chanting any mantras.
  • Focus on the sound and your breathing.
  • Practice consistently, even if only for 10–20 minutes each day.
  • Let go of expectations.

Some people chant aloud, some whisper, and others repeat the mantra silently in their minds. Any of these approaches can be beneficial when practiced with sincerity and regularity.

The Greatest Experience

When people ask, “What experiences will I get from chanting mantras?” they often expect a list of mystical events.

Yet the most meaningful transformation is usually much quieter.

It is waking up without unnecessary anxiety.

It is becoming kinder in difficult conversations.

It is finding patience where there was once frustration.

It is discovering moments of peace in the middle of a busy life.

These changes may not seem dramatic from one day to the next, but over months and years they can profoundly influence how you think, feel, and relate to the world.

Whether you approach mantra chanting as a spiritual discipline, a mindfulness practice, or simply a way to calm your mind, the key is consistency rather than expectation.

The mantra is not there to change the world around you overnight. It gently changes the way you experience the world within you. And often, that quiet inner transformation becomes the most remarkable experience of all.

The expereinces that may happen with you to you will be very unreal and you many not find any written information in any book. You may finds its refrences in vedic literature.

There will be different phases of your experiences. If you experience extreme agitation. you may seek a Gurus/relevant teachers guidance on it. Continue with meditation and do not stop with the experiences. It brings out deep seated emotions. Allow it to drain out from your body, mnd and soul. There will be no splainnation to the way you feel, Just do not stop. It will go through different phases. You may experience an extreme emotional journey. Do not try to explain this to anyone. It is a huge energy of yourself that you are not able to control. Others will not understand you. Early morning Brahma muhurta meditation will help you calm down, being with nature and maybe animals like cows will calm down your emotion but slowly you will go through the intense energy exhaustion phase and slowly you will be in control. In this phase do only what you feel is right. Do not make any decisions or get into any debate with anyone. Your brain is resetting . No one, eveny you yourself will not understand this mental chaos but as our soul journey fulfils its journey or its karmas. you will be able to calm down naturally. There are no answers to this phase other than self introspection. Stare at a lotus flower whichever your intuition says. It will help you and guide you on the path in absence of Guru.

Blood)

Fat)

Bones)

(Bone Marrow & Nervous System)

(Reproductive Tissue / Vital Energy)

Meditation

Namaste,

There are different modes of meditation, Bhakti yoga, Kirtan yoga or Mind focusing on breathe. Meditation helps you to get rid of routine thoughts that keeps wishers cycle running  inside your mind. It’s easy to put a routine to your body or achieve something physically but stabilizing mind in one place is really difficult. Follow your own method to relax your thoughts of future and past.

There is no hard and fast way in bhakti yoga. You can devote in your own religious beliefs or deity/ power whom you get easily connected with mind. All the worries inside your mind are, OK! When in life you feel there is no solution to your problem no way out just wait for an instance. The one who will sought for questions will seek answers only within oneself. Just relax and let things go in its way. Somethings that happen in life has no reason behind. This includes selfless giving away to an needy and complete the cycle.

In Kirtan yoga the one who has achieved a divine path, they preach to the followers and give their path to others. As the journey becomes easier for a disciple or follower or a seeker. You can call them gurus or saints. They explain the ultimate divine feel how it is and they show the path how they achieved it in the form of songs, writings or preaching with simple examples of day to day life.

Mind relaxing is very important exercise. All you need to do is sit and do nothing, physically and mentally both.   People find it difficult to sit in one place for long time and do nothing. For some people it may sound like a punishment as they were busy through their life. They felt that they had more thoughts coming in their mind as they sit for meditation session.  Some people quit doing meditation at this point.

For example when you are attending any program, arranging a program or travelling, once that program is finished there is an echo like humming sound that keeps going in head,  when you finish the process. Here you feel that you just want to finish it up and complete the process. Go to bed and just take a full sleep.

Same ways when you sit idle in one place, if you are waiting for some one at particular time or for a bus, train flight, time seems to be lengthy, to wait for something.  Even thought if something is even two minutes late it seems to be a long time. At the same time when you plan for a picnic or a trip after a week, every day of week appears to pass so slow. If you’re with person, whom you like to spend time with, time appears to run very fast. You did not even realize that its been few hours or few weeks that you visited your family, friend or someone you really like spending time with and now its time to say goodbye to them. It is very easy to understand oneself, while comparing with computer. If you are running certain amount of programs in process it will show percentage of RAM used by each program. In simple words every program will use Random Access Memory in some percent in order to work. Similarly when we are sitting idle our mind is not sitting in one place. It is either in past or future!

These are known facts. Our mind constantly thinks of past and future. Percentage of mind that remains or operates in present is really negligible. People who are capable in giving their maximum percentage of attention in the present activity are the most successful people in the world.  “Meditation is the most difficult and most powerful exercise in the world”. After certain amount of practice,  it is very easy to get rid of physical distractions around us. Physical distractions are those which our senses can detect. Like we can see moving objects through eyes, we can hear sounds through ears, we can smell through nose, our skin can detect temperature changes or sometimes when we are sitting at one place our body will unconsciously give a command to move. Some people have habit of shaking legs, curling hair any kind of movements or even if you are sitting in one place you may feel your hips need to adjust or you need to adjust cushion position or anything. Once you practice sitting in right posture for longer time and maintain without getting physically distracted. It becomes easier to enter inside mind. Once you enter inside mind you realize that there is more noise inside mind than outside. Even if you sit in one place your mind takes you all around the world meeting all people, thinking linked form one thought to other and then to other thought and forget what you were actually doing.

Here are few of the techniques that  I follow myself and also teach to my students. In some methods people need some mantras, chanting, sound of water, incense fragrance or any kind of thing that helps them to stop lined thoughts and relax mind for a while. There will be n number of methods to achieve a goal. Whichever you like you can choose and follow.

There are few things I have to share with my practice of meditation.
It will always be better to step out of your living place visit any place of worship that is calm and quiet. At home you have all the material world around you that is associated in your thoughts. For example bags, shoes light switches, door knobs, gas knobs, water heater, WATCH, keys, Mobiles or other devices. So once you step out of house close everything; light, water, gas and pick your pre stuffed bag and leave. Here you cut your thoughts those are associated with materialistic world. Then when you sit in one place and focus on one point, it can be meditation music insence, fragrance or anything outside your body will try to distract you and then you feel good and relaxed.
Once you learn to relax and see how your breathe goes in and out naturally with no support of music, fragrance or anything you can see how deep your breathe goes in and out. It becomes really slow and heavy. There comes a point where you feel that your breathe has stopped and this is point to be maintained for longer time.
At this point your thoughts will be also at hold or stable mind. They won’t take you around they stay where you’re. If you do this in sitting position ensure to maintain correct body posture with comfort to body and no stress. Your spine must remain in perfect ‘S’ shape. Here all the physical distractions from our senses are at hold. Everything that you can see, smell, taste or sense temperature is from physical world and a comparative factor.
Most important is your mind has lots of noise inside. With regular practice of Meditation you can learn how to completely relax your body and mind.
In the initial stage practice 2 minutes session every time you’re going to eat something. Best results when you close all your work and prepare your next day bags, cooking everything and go to sleep post meditation. Your night sleep will be completed peacefully and you will get up fresh with full of energy.

While you are learning meditation you may feel that you get more thoughts than before. You will also get exhausted feel in the day end. This is because your mind has learnt creating void space. So it gets filled with more and more thoughts. You have more energy storage once you start practicing meditation. You may eat a lots or talk a lots or exhaust your energy doing something.
Slowly you will learn to control this energy. You will find peak of too much of exhausting thoughts and then gradually drop the thoughts and be at peace inside. Emotions (Sex, Anger, Greed, Attachment, Bad Oman for others in our mind) should not guide you, you should be able to guide or have control on your own emotions.
Slowly you can increase time of your meditation. Once you practice it more you become better and better and like learning to write paragraph with hand is easy now then when you wrote it again and again and struggled for single alphabet.
No matter how much distraction is there in your surroundings you will be able to do your meditation literally anywhere l.
Benefits of meditation are incredible. From being successful in life to positivity thoughts, full of energy to sharp mind, self healing capacity ‘n’ number of it.
You yourself can observe that your thoughts are more organized, your listening capacity is improved, reaction to stressful situation is more skilled, balanced or sharp. Decision making capacity is polished. Your speech is more clear and powerful as your body and mind.

Those changes you will not make consciously but they will happen sub consciously.

Yoga with Kanchan Vikram Part 2

Namaste,

I am teaching Yoga since past 5 years in Istanbul (European)Turkey.

Monday Wednesday Friday (MWF)

08:00-09:20 am and 10:00-11:20
Better early morning, empty stomach.

T-Th 9:00-10:20
Combination of power yoga 40 minutes and full joint warm up and all sets 40 minutes.

Empty stomach is good for Yoga. Which means without eating and drinking or also passing motion in the morning. It helps in ease of physical movements and breathe control.

Having personal Yoga mat is highly recommended as it has all your own energies.

Sipping water in between is fine if needed.

For person with long hair better tie and do not keep it hanging on face. As people tend to keep jerkig neck in exercise which is dangerous.

Easy/Loose cotton clothes are best.

Thin jacket is must.

No over powering and pressuring yourself while performing Yoga. Sometimes you may tend to push your limit and improve or compare with other yogies. As gradually you do Yoga maybe breathing or physical asanas everything should be easy and relaxed. Your body will eventually start taking shape. If you are overweight or underweight it does not matter. You will get into shape!

First we begin with meditation. So that you close all the thoughts that you came with and applications running inside mind with also getting rid of physical distractions ( sound, smell, taste, temperature, wind, stability of body in one position without much of disturbances etc. )

When we do breathing exercises these are basically kriyas or techniques with which you calm down your body and mind. Slowly go deep into feel of your own body and how is the feel of internal energy. In breathing exercises, technique is very important. You will always have different ways to do a particular exercise. Instead of experimenting multiple ways understand and try to master the technique.

Then we do second set of meditation, post breathing exercises. Here removing physical distractions and entering within oneself and stabilizing your mind becomes easy.

Then full body joints warmup and more asanas.

Joint warmup will help movements of all the joints, eventually leading to flexibility and strength in muscles.

Again 3rd set of Meditation and then Shavasana. Here you can feel complete connectivity with body and mind and feel your own soul.

Here irrespective of season you have to wear a jacket or thin cotton shirt if it is summer. Your body temperature should not drop down suddenly. It has to come to normal room temperature or body temperature very slowly and gradually.

Aslo you should not lie down or drink water immediately after high intensity workout. Where your breathe and heartrate is high. Sit for a while let your body and mind relax and then proceed.

Post completing Shavasan is needed exercise. Shav literally means dead body. You’ve to let your full body feel boundless. Then there is technique do achieve it and also to come out of it.

I see all my students happy within and where they are not smiling nor they look sad but they just do a Namaste gesture and thank me! This last part I never taught but it happens naturally by all my students.

Here I have skipped certain major factors as I want you to experience it and not just try to feel just because I said this will happen to you in the blog.

For those who have never done Yoga before have this fear about different poses and postures.

Even if you’re beginner no need to worry. I have students practicing with me since 4 and half years who never did yoga before.

Trust me with regular 3 days or 2days of a week roughly within 4 months your body will start taking shape.

You will not do all the actions on day 1 or in 2-3 weeks. Body takes time to adapt to new routines. For those who are already into some kind of fitness form or regime it is bit easier to perform physical activities.

Some of my students experiences

1) A lady taking sleeping pills for past 25 years messaged me post completion of 3 sessions that she slept last night without taking any pill. ( No doctor must have recommended this medication)

2) One of my student she had frozen shoulder due to playing games on mobile in one side lying down position. She tried lots of medications for long time from different places but just with few joint warmup techniques, helped her. Now she also changed her habit of playing game on mobile.

3) A lady in 80s, suffering from lung cancer was one of my student. She shared her 2 experiences with me. Once, while I was instructing physical asanas (she was just one and half month new to my class). She used to hold my hand and stand from sitting position. She was doing all the exercises on her own will. One fine day she stood up helself without holding my hand. She herself was astonished how did she stand by herself. Other experience was I gave her certain breathing exercises very easy and simple ones to do and show her doctor and ask if it is ok to perform those exercises? After 4 months she just used to come and do exercises regularly without telling me anything. On asking she said that Doctor has said to her to do those breathing exercises regularly and your infection has stopped spreading. Till sometime I was blank and not understanding anything.

4) A young lady around 35years used to come with her full Spanish friends on weekends. Just with observation I asked her if she had some knee problem that she never mentioned me in consulting session. She was shocked how could I know that? Slowly we worked on the issue she had. As her knee cap used to slip from the position during her childhood she said. So while doing pilates she was more scared about it. Now with yoga asanas her leg has improved she says.

5) One lady she was HR in Kempinski. Post pregnancy she gained weight. She used to hide from me as I will call her to join Yoga session. Some how she came and she started practicing with me. She was happy and comfortable and in a week she joined with her husband. Reason she was worried was she went to some yoga classes where there were slim Russian teachers she said. They were so flexible and slim, they asked her to bend in standing position and place palm on floor with nose touching knees. They pushed saying you can do it. It’s only in your mind. I have no idea who were those people and no intentions or judge someones teaching style as well. Only thing is choose the method that suits you and also comfort zone.

PanchKarma – Life Balancing Process!

here was one person, while a group yoga session was going on, that person asked me “What if I am healthy with no ailments no issues, working perfectly good? Why should I practice yoga for?”

… … … What do you think? Let me know your views on this question. I would be interested in listening to what all different views you all have on Yoga practices in comment section.

The person asking was a very old aged person and was quite delighted to hear when I answered the question.
To know my thought on this, get in touch with me.

Most important is Meditation part. It take long time to train yourself mentally. I have separate blog on meditation its benefits and methodologies in it.

Eat on time.

Sleep on time.

Give your stomach food that is easy to break and simple to digest.

Say No to

Tin food.

Foods with preservatives.

Carbonated drinks.

Artificial Sweeteners.

Packed food.

Food with more shelf life.

Plastic bottles.

Cold food.

Cigarette.

Alcohol.

Any kind of drug addiction.

Say YES to

Fresh vegetables

Seasonal fruits

Organic products.

Chyawan Prash.

Water boiled with 24karat gold in it.

A meal tht fits into 2palm only.

Listen to what your stomach says. Eating less will not reduce your weight but it will store food and make you heavy. Health is not about if you’re dark of fair slim or fat. It is how you feel when you getup in the morning. Fresh or tired. If you’re on heavier side go slow but be regular it will take time to come back to shape but it will work on you.

Best practice.

Close all your activities at 09:30pm. Prepare for your next day till 10:00pm. Once you have closed all activities 10:00pm to 10:30pm sit idle and do nothing. Slowly as you learn meditation you can do meditation before going to sleep. This is for entire family routine. You will get up fresh and your sleep won’t be incomplete. Your cycle of next day begins when you sleep a night before. Also even if you get up at 05:00am or 06:00am do not touch any device till you finish your morning routine.

No exercise, no work for 5 days of menstruation cycle.

Best part of doing Yoga:

I feel so hungry post yoga session.

You get to eat everything that you like.

80% Food +10%exercise + 5% Sleep + 5% = Healthy human.

Sub consciously you switch to healthy food and lifestyle options.

Your negative feelings drain out.

Your outlook becomes more positive.

No more you will say I am bored, tired, exhausted and stressed.

Level of concentration improves.

Even if you travel there is no scope of missing your fitness routine of performing yoga.

Your thoughts become more organized.

Please note: None of this you do deliberately or knowingly but these changes will gradually happen within you. You only choose to start doing Yoga twice a week and take up 3 days and eventually perform every day.

Most important part is to begin with a consulting session.

You can enjoy your life in much better ways if you remain healthy and active.
