Wherever we see humans have made their mark, with either carving or painting and getting these natural places favorable for living a normal life in it. Adaptation is best word to describe this human behavior. Human beings have overcome or learnt to control or surviving in extreme natural setups. Now the race is who needs to rule and as what? Different civilisations have come to rule and then are taken over by the next civilisation or so called super power. In this picture you can clearly see the soft formation used for carving and living overlain by Basaltic above layer which is hard and has jointing patterns.

Post lunch we visited a Sleime Monastery. It was yet again vertical climb and see similar human dwellings. Our guide mentioned to us that they were supposed to make Star Wars movie in this location but due to some reasons it was only filmed and graphically used as backdrop in the movie. This was the exact location to see the Star Wars terrain idea.

In ancient times this place was supposed to be religious schools as reported by archaeological studies. There is a cathedral in this area. This place gives a yet another beautiful scenic view of and its two formations as it is elevated and well preserved for tourists to see.

Later we visited a Onyx factory. It is a gemstone variety, which has this onyx stone processing unit and small show was organised for us. The show was to show how Onyx is cut and polished with its unique quality of displaying two different lights. Rest all gemstones or semi-precious stones were kept in a showroom and also some jewelry for sale. Some of them were from the valleys in Cappadocia rest of them were imported from different places.

We finished our journey for the day and then headed to our respective hotels.

Our third day was the balloon tour. You need to wake up quite early in the morning. The crew picks us from respective hotel around 04:30 am. The weather which we choose was cold. Mornings were really chilling. If you are planning to visit in winter, try to be completely packed and prepared for cold winds. They provide some early morning Turkish Chai/Chay and Coffee with some cookies where the area is very crowded with all the tourists. Where rest of the people actively rushing for these balloons to be prepared for take-off before sunrise. I liked to see the preparations they make to completely inflate the balloon.

The feel of huge balloon is really amazing to experience. This hot air balloon is slowly inflated and is still attached with heavy strings and to the vehicles around. As the balloon is fully inflated and ready to fly we can get into basket. Roughly there are 20 people in a basket with a professionally trained balloon driver/pilot. Slowly the attached strings are released and slowly balloon starts rising up. It gives such an amazing feel as it slowly moves up in the air.

Once you are in sky you can look around in the surrounding with lots of balloons flying with you. As the balloon hovers over entire valley you can see all the structures and formations of Cappadocia form the top view. Pilot swings and hovers the hot air balloon close to the surface and peaks of some hills. He takes your basket near to a peak which your basket is about to collide at the same moment we rise up.

This is a thrilling experience. Best part is to see sunrise and many other colorful balloons flying along with you in the sky. If you have acrophobia, still you can manage taking hot air balloon ride as it moves very peacefully and no need to look vertically down.

Just view horizons and volcanoes. Just because of some phobia don’t give a reason to miss this beautiful experience. We had taken Balloon Turca ride. Most thrilling is the experiences of how the balloon is slowly deflated brought down and skillfully lands its huge basket with all people on board on a truck. This is not done by all balloon ride company, when I inquired with my other friends who did take balloon ride they were sad as they missed this amazing experience. It one of the most thrilling part to land full basket of 20 people directly on a truck. Which is coming down at some speed. These are licence companies so no need to worry about safety. You just need to check online for all the reviews. Getting control of the huge balloon flying with full velocity and loaded fully with the people and landing is really worth experiencing. They give you instructions as to hold the position before landing to avoid huge impact. Our balloon ride was very nice, peaceful and was carried out by a highly skillful certified pilot. The entire balloon ride is recorded in an overhead GoPro camera and you get to see all the people in your basket riding for full 2 hours. The video is previewed on the laptop to see if you need it.
